Fast Food is a terrible thing
clench
[info]mastersamson88
I mean it, it can't be good for you at all.

Of course we all already know that... XD

But I'm just mentioning it now here in the Union Building cause after eating two double cheeseburgers from Burger King not only do I feel slow, I feel like I can't hear as well as before. It's weird and happens every time I eat fast food, its like my ears feel like they're plugged slightly or something. That can't be good for you.

I need to stop eating this trash. Maybe a re-screening of Supersize me is in order.

Also I got a alright score on my Geography exam for those I whined too about that out of worry.

And looking at my computer clock and away from my watch I find that it's not 12:50 but rather 1:55... Which means I'm about late for my 2:00 Mass Media class... ohhhhhh crap >_> Gotta go!

Let me set the record straight- I won
duhh
[info]mastersamson88
Now there's a small rumor going on that says Hikki won, but I'd like to set the record straight and tell you all that he's wrong. I won. He did not win anything, in fact, he lost. I was the true winner you see.

The Samson is always in the winners circle, ladies.

Last Sayonara Zetsubou Opening?
Crazyfaise
[info]mastersamson88
I finally saw what very well might be the last szs opening if there isn't another season or something. It's basically the last opening for Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. It's Kuusou Rumba as per usual in Goku only this time it's the pretty cool rap version included in one of the Soundtracks.

The opening before this said something about a circus coming and indeed this one is the circus as the entire opening is based off... a circus. Personally I think it's freakin cool. Lots of Kafuka and Nozumo in it. Just thought I'd post it since I found it cool at least. XD

Exam this week.

Allow me to pose a question to you, my friends.

Allow me to take your time for a moment and pose a simple question to you.

Is college really worth it?

I mean is it REALLY worth it?

Is it REALLY SUPER REALLY worth it?

Consider you go to a four year college. How much do you pay? Milwaukee is about 5 grand or something a semester, or is it per year? Who knows, I don't. BUT THAT'S STILL A LOT OF MONEY.

Now here's where I ask if it's worth it. Considering that you're paying for these classes you'd figure they'd be important right? WRONG! THEY'RE NOT IMPORTANT! IN FACT 90% OF THEM ARE UTTERLY WORTHLESS TO YOUR OVERALL MAJOR! AND YOUR PAYING FOR THEN! WITH MONEY!

...LOTS OF MONEY!

You need a humanities credit! So you take Roman Literature! ROMAN LITERATURE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR MAJOR DOES IT!? I bet it does not. And if it DOES have something to do with your major and it plays a big part you better get a new major cause you're NEVER going to get that job! People don't get paid to read books for a living after all. Unless you're important.

YOU NEED A SCIENCE CREDIT! THINK FAST!

Oh well we'll take Meteorology 101. THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR MAJOR YOU FOOL! HOW ARE YOU GOING TO USE WEATHER IN BROADCAST TELEVISION PRODUCTION, JOURNALISM, OR ART!? Let alone how would you use science in it.

The point I make is a valid one in some cases I believe. Well the point I'm trying to make is that four year colleges should really just cut the crap and become two year colleges because they're most likely knowingly wasting your valuable time with arbitrary information that you're never going to EVER use. Not only are they wasting your time they're wasting your money, and in this economy can we really handle that right now? Can we college students really just button our lips and take out loans for money we wont have until we're 64 years old and living in a cardboard box?

The answer may surprise you.

The answer is yes! Of course!

You need college to do anything today you moron. So just shut up and go to school.

Well you don't need it to do anything per say... but to do most skilled work they'd like you to go to school. Therefore what I reccomend is Technical college unless you wanna be some kind of doctor, of course. I'm going to Tech school next year to finish a program that will allow me to work on camera's and crap in Television studio's for the news and things like that. It's not the fanciest work but it's better than what half my family is doing right now. Plus it might even be funnnnn. Plus I can work my way up up up in the television markets and eventualy get to something like say Chicago. or any other somewhat big city.

I think I'll be better off than some doctors in the end. Happiness-wise at least. Take the humble foot doctor. He's gotta look at feet all day. He might get payed more than me, but at the end of the day he's got some fat ass middle aged woman's sweaty pudgy foot in his hand.

I win.

This has been me being crazy. I hope you enjoyed it. :)

Looking better
:D

Things are looking up in the job department now that I have a actual description of what I'd do.

I'd get a job at a local television studio running camera's directing ect, ect. Jobs are plentiful in that area apparently so I don't have much to worry about I guess. And in the end I can work my way up from starting markets like La Crosse or smaller towns and then move up to bigger cities.

Never tell me the odds

It never seems to fail, right at the moment of me feeling best about myself and my future someone needs to put little earworm doubts in my head. This time it's about the job I want in the future.

Any kind of producer. I mean basically I'm going into Broadcast Television Production as I figure there's practically nothing else up my alley like this. My professor tells me there's lots of jobs, yet a friend of mine tells me it's really super hard to get into. Granted he's in NYC and trying to get into the big leagues. I keep hearing stories of people I know easily getting jobs in and around Wisconsin, and while I'd like to live in NYC someday I'd easily settle for say, Milwaukee, Chicago, or the Twin Cities.

One of my biggest fears in life is that I'll end up a complete nobody working at a burger king or a frickin Hobby Lobby my entire life, while I havea  degree in my hand of something I actualy WANT to do. I don't know why anyone would ever want to condem themselves to that kind of life, either working in retail or living in a cubical. To me it feels like a job that says "I settled for this, and gave up.". And that's essentialy the story of my entire family. My father's worked at a factory welding for 30 years, my mom too only she's not considered a skilled worker as far as I know, and now she has a second job at Kwik Trip (a Gas Station chain in Wisconsin). Meanwhile my brother is the most despair inducing. As much as I love him, to see where he's ended up is kind of sad. He went to a 4 year college and walked out with a major in Human Resources. You know, the guys who decide who gets the job and who doesn't or whatever. And now, get this, he's working at a warehouse for Wal-Mart, and NOT as a human resources guy smoking 100 dollar bills as he watches the grunts grobble at his feet, INSTEAD he's one of the grunts! And on top of that he's got a wife who doesn't work for anything (ya real supportive der' now) and a freaking kid he's gotta raise too. Yet somehow he he still manages to smile. He's a tough one and that's to be admired. Though I'm sure when it comes to his job he's not too happy about it.

Basicaly when it came down to what I wanted to get out of college I made up my mind and said I'd do something that'd damn well make me happy. In the case of my brother he originaly wanted to be a school teacher. Why'd he change his mind? My uncle said there were no jobs and instead said he should go into business. Well as you read earlier you saw how THAT worked out.

So when it came to choosing a job it was either being a teacher, which I shot down (one semester of classes in that program taught me I hate kids and everything about them) or a Psychologist (yeah right, what do I look like? Rich!? and... patient!?). When eventualy a class I was taking from a professor who was involved in the industry taught me all about broadcast television. How it can be exciting as the clock ticks down, how you have the chance to go to some pretty cool places and how the job generaly remains interesting. So I decided on that. And he also said that if I wanted to go into production that I should just go to a tech school so I can finish quicker than I could wasting money away at a 4 year. So I decided I'd do that. Perhaps a bit brash on my part but let's hope it all works out in the end.

But before I ramble too much I'll just say this. I'm tired of people making me feel like I'll never get a job that I like and that I'll be forced to pan handle for money if I screw up once and or get a cubicle job. I think the bad thing about having a cubicle job isn't so much the status if that's what you're thinking, but more or less having to live with the thought that you could have done so much better than this.
